Tradition Continues, With a New Face

Well, today is the first day of school. Traditionally, I take pictures of Pea to share. This year, though, I have pictures of the Little Man, too, because its his first day of pre-K. He’ll be going the full day, same as his sister.

Here they both are, sitting outside on the front porch. I apologize for the blur. The air conditioned house didn’t like the muggy air and my lens was all foggy. I didn’t think it would make for foggy pictures, but… well. :-/

I did manage to re-take some shots of Little Man, though.



I’ll get better pictures of Pea either tonight after school or tomorrow morning. Hers are too blurry to use and I didn’t discover it until after she was gone. :-(

ETA: Here are the pictures of Brenna, taken after she got home from school instead of before. *g*

Walking About

New Year’s Day 2011 started with a cup of coffee and a discussion of what, if anything, we were doing today. We’re visiting my parents’ farm while my daughter is off from school and today is our last day of vacation, before we return to the wonderful world of work, school, and science fair projects. ‘What to do’ is pretty key if we’re looking for something memorable.

The answer came in the form of canceled plans and the comment from my father, “why don’t you and the kids get dressed and come with us?” The ‘us’ being my dad and husband, who were going small game hunting in the woods on the hills behind our farm.

Since the snow is almost melted and gone and it’s fairly warm outside, I agreed, we got dressed and we all set out in search of adventure… or rabbits.
